Marine Metal Products, a family-owned business for almost 50 years, was founded in 1959 by engineer Alexander and his investor friend John Fry. Their first product was a 21" long stick-type aerator connected by a brass shaft with a series of small holes. This aerator had an impellor at one end and a 12-volt motor at the other end. When submerged in liquid, the impellor drew air down the tube, creating a current of micro bubbles in the tank. Originally used in the citrus industry, it was soon recognized as a fish tank aerator and named Bait Saver. Under the leadership of Clark Lea, Jr. who became president in 2005, Marine Metal Products has developed and marketed various live bait-keeping systems like the Super Saver, Fish Saver, Bubbles, Quiet Bubbles, Hush Bubbles, AirHead, and the insulated Cool Bubbles. Their LIVE BAIT AERATOR keeps fishing bait lively by maintaining oxygen levels in the bait bucket. Running on 12 Volt DC and drawing 0.46 amps with copper battery clips, this air bubbler provides 99.5% saturation of dissolved oxygen to aerate 1 or 2 live wells up to 35 gallons. Suitable for both saltwater and freshwater use, it comes with 10' of airline tubing, 2 weighted air stones, and 2 anti-siphon valves. The high volume twin bellows pump delivers 5.6 STL/min, making it ideal for catch and release tournaments.
